St. George's choir

was founded in 1944 by Jack Evans, an important figure in St, George's church history as in addition to founding the choir he served as the church's foundation secretary/treasurer. For further details see the separate page for Evans Hall.

The choir reached its zenith during the 1960's and 1970' under the leadership of David Carolane AOM a charismatic and influential figure in Melbourne choral music who also founded the Tudor Choristers in 1962

St. George's choir still sings at the 10am Sunday Service and at other special services during the year.

Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings.

New members are very welcome - please contact Roger Brown on 0419 390563 or any existing choir member.
