Open House Weekend is a yearly event where tens of thousands of people come out to celebrate architecture and the city. Increasingly, Open House tackles big city topics through major public talks, tours, and debates – it produces over 100+ special events that are designed to build a groundswell of interest in critical issues for the city.
By empowering people with knowledge around the impact of good design decisions in our built environment, Open House aims to ensure Victoria—and its capital city—remains a liveable and vibrant place now and in the future.
Since 2008, Open House Melbourne has facilitated more than 900,000 visits to 934 sites across Melbourne, enabling 229,660 people to explore and celebrate their city. Open House has contributed more than $20 million to the Melbourne economy and has been supported by more than 5,226 volunteers who have donated over 26,130 hours of their time.
St. George’s East Ivanhoe is delighted to be involved in this significant event taking place this year on the July 27/28 weekend.
