How to login to St. George’s and at the same time demonstrate your vaccination status

As you may have seen from the Premier’s announcement this morning, it appears that resumption of church services may well be possible early in November, possibly November 7th, however proof of full vaccination will be required for those attending.  For parishioners with smartphones this can be done by linking your digital vaccination certificate to the Services Victoria app. Instructions on how this can be done are at the following link:

Did you know that you can store favourite Covid logins on the Services Victoria app?

Next time you login to St. George’s with your smartphone (using the Services Victoria app) check the bottom of your screen after you have logged in. You will be given the opportunity to store that login as a ‘favourite’. It will then display on the main screen like this:

Next time you can just press the favourite button for St George’s and you’ll be logged in immediately without any need to scan a QR code! Much easier!!

HeartEdge program – video

In a very humble and understated way St George’s Anglican Church East Ivanhoe launched as a partner of HeartEdge today.

Initiated by St Martin-in-the-Fields, HeartEdge is a membership-based organisation, an ecumenical network and movement for renewal. We are about churches developing the four C’s:

    • Commerce: Generating finance via enterprise.
    • Culture: Art, music, performance re-imagining the Christian narrative for the present.
    • Congregation: Liturgy, worship and day-to-day communal life.
    • Compassion: Addressing social need via our congregations.

We think nurturing each of these is essential for renewal of the church. We do this via networks, communication and resource, growing the movement.
